Article 27

Power, rules, sport and the world. One standard, every actor, no exceptions.

Every week the world is told that some lives matter more than others, that some states are above the law, and that sport has nothing to do with any of it. Article 27 says otherwise.

The name comes from three rulebooks. Article 27 of the UN Charter gives five nations a veto over everyone else. Article 27 of the Rome Statute says no one is above the International Criminal Court. Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code let a World Cup ban be lifted for one player after one phone call from one president. Same number. Same story.

Craig Foster brings a legal mind, an athlete’s eye and decades of frontline campaigning to the stories that matter: atrocities and accountability, refugees and the right to move, the integrity of global sport, the rule of law, and a future where every person can thrive. Every post names the rule, shows who broke it, and tells you what you can do about it, wherever you live.
