In Conversation with Hakeem al-Araibi
Sporting Chance Forum, Centre for Sport and Human Rights, United Nations, Geneva, 2019
At the 2019 Sporting Chance Forum, hosted by the Centre for Sport and Human Rights at the United Nations in Geneva, Craig appeared in conversation with Hakeem al-Araibi, the refugee footballer freed from a Thai prison earlier that year after a global campaign led by Craig.
Together they spoke about Hakeem's detention in Bangkok, the campaign that brought him home to Melbourne, and what sport and its governing bodies must do to protect athletes at risk.
